About Me

Hey!  I'm Lori.  I'm a wife and a mother and a pretty cool chick, if I do say so myself.

Welcome to my blog!   Here's where you get to read all about my somewhat day to day antics as a wife and stay at home mom of two little girls.  Katie (nicknamed Bug) is three and Ellie (nicknamed Bean) is 20 months.

A little about me: I love reading, sleeping, people watching, and laughing. Although, the last two usually go hand in hand.  I like to try new recipes often. I could watch the Food Network channel all day if I had the time.  I swoon over Bobby Flay.  My alcoholic drink of choice is Malibu and Diet Coke/Pepsi (gotta skimp on the calories where I can).  In true southern style, my non-alcoholic drink of choice is sweet tea.  Sadly, I've had to cut way back due to the calories.  I'm currently doing Weight Watchers (I've lost over 50 lbs in seven months) and don't want to waste any of my precious 26 daily points on sweet tea.  Boo!  I could eat Chipotle every day (hello, chicken burrito bowl!!) I like watching professional baseball and football (sorry, not a fan of any college sports).  I root for the Boston Red Sox and am starting to root for the Tampa Bay Rays.  Love me some Evan Longoria.  Although, I have crushes on a couple other MLB players- Joe Mauer (of the Minnesota Twins) and Josh Hamilton (of the Texas Rangers).  I'm of Irish heritage and proud of it.  I'm like a 12 year old boy when it comes to potty humor.  Some of my favorite tv shows include: Seinfeld, Lost, New Girl, Scrubs, The West Wing, The Good Wife, Survivor, and How I Met Your Mother.  And I just love hanging out with my friends and family.

The hubs and I have known each other for 17 years but we've only been together for eight.  We started dating in January 2004, got engaged in December 2005, and married in September 2006.  A mere five months after getting married, we moved to Denver (from Orlando) for the hubs' new job.   We bought a house and had two babies out there.  But decided it was time to come home in April 2011.  So now we are back in our old stomping grounds (the 'burbs of Orlando) with Grandparents (read: babysitters) all around (hello date nights! finally!).

So there you go.  I'm sure that's way more than you were expecting but whatevs.  Feel free to stick around and visit often.  Much love.
